For makers · cluster onboarding · ~100 / quarter
If you make, and you'd like to ship.
We onboard about a hundred makers per quarter — but exclusively through cluster facilitators, never direct sign-up. The cluster is the unit that holds craft tradition; we work with that unit, not around it.
How it works.
- 1
Reach a cluster facilitator near you.
We list our 14 active cluster collectives at karuneya/clusters with the facilitator's name and location. If you're from a region not yet on the list, the answer below is for you.
- 2
Write to clusters@karuneya.in with five things.
- Your cluster (name, state, technique, GI tag if applicable)
- Years of practice — the maker's, not the cluster's
- Three photos of recent work, on plain backgrounds
- One cluster-member or facilitator who can vouch
- Whether you're open to a 60–90s story-mode shoot at your workshop
- 3
A cluster facilitator visits.
Within 4–6 weeks, one of our 14 cluster facilitators (or a partner facilitator if your region is new) visits in person. They look at the work, the workshop, the technique — and have a conversation about the 62 / 22 / 16 split, returns, and the photo + video shoot.
- 4
Onboarding shoot, signed agreement, your first listing.
We bring the photographer and videographer to your workshop. You review the cut. The cluster facilitator countersigns the agreement on your behalf. Your first listing goes live within four weeks of the shoot.
What we don't do.
- · Direct sign-up forms. The cluster is the unit; the cluster decides who joins.
- · Listing fees, application fees, photography fees. We bring the producer team.
- · Exclusivity clauses. You can sell on Etsy, your own shop, your own walking distance — we just want the photo + video shoot to be exclusive to Karuneya for 90 days.
- · Anonymous listings. Your name, your cluster, your years go on the product. Always.
